Every wedding cake is custom-designed to reflect your unique story—beautiful, delicious, and made entirely from scratch. Your personalized journey includes a private consultation, a custom sketch, thoughtful communication throughout the planning process, and white-glove delivery on your wedding day.

Meet the Artist behind
Olivia Rose

Welcome! My name is Olivia and I am the owner and pastry chef behind Olivia Rose. I grew up in the foothills of California on a berry farm, harvesting the fields, selling at farmer’s markets and serving in a small bistro. Constantly surrounded by fresh food, I developed an appetite for cooking, baking, and eating exceptionally tasting food.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every cake is different, and prices depend on the number of servings and complexity of design. To learn more, visit our “Flavors” page for details. However, I will always try to design something to fit your budget, although I do have a minimum order of $800 for wedding cakes.

  • Absolutely! I would not still be working with the same clients after six years if they didn’t. Each tier consists of four layers of freshly-baked, never-frozen, cake. Each layer is lightly drizzled with simple syrup to keep it perfectly moist, then spread with not-too-sweet Swiss meringue buttercream. The freshness is sealed in with a coating of smooth Swiss meringue buttercream or, for fondant-covered cakes, decadent white, milk, or dark chocolate ganache.

    For those who claim not to like fondant, let me assure you that not all brands are created equal. I use a professional-quality icing that is not too sweet, with a subtle citrus flavor and absolutely no chemical aftertaste. Using a layer of chocolate ganache allows me to roll the fondant very thin.

  • I offer tastings for weddings only. We will meet to discuss your ideas and I will serve you with your 4 flavor choices that you pick prior to our consultation. Tastings cost $50, which is payable in advance of our meeting, and are good for up to 4 people. I can also prepare a tasting box to-go, if preferred.

  • I do not book more than 18 months before a wedding. I would recommend inquiring at least 6 months-1 year in advance.

  • Please complete the Contact Form and include the date of your event, number of guests and a mood board, if possible. Once I check availability, I will email you to discuss your design and give you an idea of price. If you would like to book, you can then secure the date with a $250 paid retainer. This can be paid via Square. The remaining balance is due 1 month before your wedding date.

    Please note, no booking is secured without a deposit!

  • Most of our cake flavors can be made gluten-free. Unfortunately, all of our cakes presently contain eggs and dairy. Whilst all do not contain nuts, we do use nuts in our kitchen. We do offer some small bite desserts that can be made egg, sugar, or dairy-free. Please ask if you have specific food sensitivities.

  • We advise that you check your order carefully and let us know within 4 weeks whether changes are needed. Your cake is very important to us and should you require any alterations after that period, we will endeavor to do our best to accommodate them. If the alteration affects the cost, or if the preparatory work on your cake has already commenced, Olivia Rose, LLC reserves the right to increase the quoted fee accordingly. As stated in my contract, any changes made after the final payment is received, are not guaranteed.

  • We love to collect gorgeous cake stands and have a variety which are available for hire at a cost of $5 plus a refundable deposit of $100-$300 (depending on size of stand) per stand. Cake stands are due to be returned within two weeks of your wedding date upon which the security deposit is repaid in the absence of any damage.

  • We will always secure your tiered cake with a center dowel and place it snugly in a box. When transporting your cake, place it on the floor of the car or in the back on a flat surface (no seats or laps). Drive slower than normal, especially around corners. Keep the air conditioning on high, especially on a hot day and never leave the cake unattended in the car.

    Olivia Rose is not responsible for any damage to collected cakes after they have left our premises.

  • Please keep cakes in a cool place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Use a clean, sharp knife to cut, cleaning after each slice.

    To enjoy our cakes at their freshest, we recommend that they are consumed within 48 hours of delivery/collection. We recommend keeping any exposed cake covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator. Our cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature.

  • If you would like to have your cake decorated with fresh flowers, we recommend that you order these from your florist for continuity. We will be delighted to liaise with you and your florist to decide on which flowers are most suitable and on their placement. We like to place flowers at the venue upon delivery of the cake.

    Please note that it is important to ensure that flowers that are not suitable for consumption do not come into direct contact with the cake itself. We cannot be liable for any contamination to your wedding cake that may arise from the misuse of fresh flowers.
